Fredericton - Irving Big Stop Truck Stop

May 12, 2007
Fredericton, NB

May 12th, we headed for Fredericton, NB and met Paul Jorgenson and his wife for lunch. Paul is the Executive Director of the NB Trails Association.

Horsewoman and trainer, Mel Cormier, met us at the Irving Big Stop truck stop to return unsold Ride T-shirts and meet us in preparation for our return through Fredericton and her participation at that time. The horses were taken out of the trailer for some exercise and Steve put on a training demo.

Christine said her goodbye's and headed out for St. John, NB.

While there, we met Levi Sabbatis from Oromocto First Nation. Levi and his nephew Ryan later joined us on the route between Oromocto, NB and St. Andre, QC.

While at lunch, Paul handed me a book of maps of all the trails in New Brunswick. He said, half in jest, that Claudia had told him not to give it to me. Claudia didn't want us to change any of her plans. She was very concerned Paul would divert Steve to riding all over the province on the NB Trails rather than on the route she had laid out.
